Mindy rushed over to grab her belongings. “You deserve to be a country bumpkin! Did Dad ever starve you or leave you with nothing? And you’re still stealing at school? You really bring shame to the Wilson name!”
Instead of anger, there was a mix of excitement and malicious in her eyes as she continued, “These two custom cases of mine are no joke. The diamonds on them cost over 200 thousand. Ms. Thompson, I’ll call the police and get her arrested.”
Michelle stopped her hurriedly. “Mindy, hold on. Could Lillian just be playing with you? Sisters often tease each other like this–don’t take it too seriously.”
“Who jokes like that? Besides, I don’t even think of her as my sister,” Mindy sneered.
Michelle frowned, surprised that Mindy showed no mercy toward Lillian, even not considering the family’s reputation. “Lillian, do you have anything to say for yourself?”
Lillian kept her hands in her pockets, looking unfazed. “The evidence speaks for itself. What more is there to say? Unless the stuff grew wings.” She remained incredibly calm–more so than even the onlookers.
Michelle, who had initially believed Lillian, was now starting to have doubts.
“Has she really given up defending herself?”
“Does she usually act this way? I mean, this might be just her common behavior.”
“And this is the so–called genius? What a joke.”
“Mindy, maybe you don’t need to call the police. I’ll have Lillian apologize to you and write a three–thousand–word essay. How does that sound?” Michelle said, shooting Lillian a look. “Lillian, say something.”
Lillian frowned slightly. “Three thousand words? Maybe it’s better to just call the police.”
Her reaction felt almost like an admission. Michelle was left speechless. She couldn’t picture Lillian doing something like this, but her demeanor was puzzling. Or was this just a sibling spat gone too far?
Sierra fueled the fire. “Ms. Thompson, we’re talking about over 200 thousand here. Even if she’s under eighteen, that could lead to three to five years in prison, right?
“This isn’t just a minor issue; it’s a feud within the Wilson family. You really should stay out of it.”
Mindy couldn’t hold back and called the police. She feared that if she delayed, Lillian might call Bradley for help, and it could all get swept under the rug.
“Is Mindy seriously calling the police? Isn’t that a bit over the top?”
“Even if Lillian gets detained, her dad will just bail her out right away. No matter how much Lillian isn’t favored, they wouldn’t let this spiral out of control. It would be a huge embarrassment for the family.”
“The older sister stealing from the younger one, and the younger one calling the police in public? This scandal of the Wilson family might just make the news tomorrow.”
“Did she really steal it?”
“You can’t judge a book by its cover. Besides, hasn’t she basically admitted it?”
“I had a bad feeling the first time I saw her, and I was right.”
The malicious gossip swirled around the room, getting louder. But Lillian seemed completely unfazed, casually pulling up a

chair across from the rest of the class.
She propped her feet up, adopting a laid–back, almost arrogant attitude that set her apart from the chattering students.
Michelle realized she couldn’t control this group of heirs and heiresses, so she had no choice but leave to look for help.
After sitting down, Lillian pulled out her phone, set up some security footage, and watched silently. She then clipped an important part and scrolled through her WhatsApp contacts. After a while, she found someone and sent it to him.
The person got the message and replied: [Is this really you?]
Once confirming it was Lilian, the person fell silent before typing back: [Let me get this straight–your classmates accused you of stealing, and now you’re coming to me for help with the evidence?]
Lillian typed with one hand: [Any problems?]
[Nope! I gotta hand it to you for your composure! Just one thing, tighten up your phone’s security. If this leaks, I’m going down with you]
Lillian rolled her eyes. As a student, she had to handle this properly at school.
[I’ll make a tall downstairs. How serious do you want this to get? Should we send in the National Guard? Do you want armed forces? How long should we hold this girl? Can we throw her in jail?] The other person was pretty upset.
The students watched as Lillian calmly played with her phone, genuinely amazed at how composed she was.
Hank immediately called Bradley, and after several unsuccessful attempts to reach him, he decided to call the police while rushing to Class A, hoping to convince Mindy to drop the report. “Mindy, can you step outside for a moment?” he asked.
Mindy ignored him, completely brushing him off.
Seeing that Mindy was dead set on calling the police, Hank turned to Lillian, hoping she would reach out to Bradley or
Kevin.
He knew he couldn’t afford to offend these well–off kids, and having Bradley handle it was his best bet, but he still couldn’t get ahold of him.
Since it was clear that Lillian was close to Kevin and Zack, Hank figured that if Lillian spoke up, Kevin would definitely jump in to help.
Lillian just sat there, looking utterly indifferent, much like Mindy, ignoring Hank completely. He had no choice but to lean closer to Lillian and whisper, “This isn’t the time to be stubborn. You need to call your dad right away.”
Lillian kindly reassured him, “It’s fine.”
“It’s not!” Hank was so anxious he was practically bouncing off the walls.
He knew Lillian would be okay. Whether it was the Wilson family or the Smith family, they wouldn’t just stand by while something happened to her. He was more worried about himself—if the police showed up, things could get out of hand.
But no matter what he said, Lillian didn’t respond. Meanwhile, Michelle was still trying hard to persuade Mindy.
After failing to sway anyone, Hank decided to call Kevin himself. But before he could dial, the police arrived–faster than he had expected.
“Why are there so many?” Hank turned around and saw the hallway packed with officers and nearly fainted.
He had thought there would be just three or five officers at most, not nearly twenty. And they were all high–ranking. This kind of presence was reserved for serious criminals.

The scene was chaotic, and since it was lunchtime, more and more students gathered in the hallway until it was completely packed.
“What’s happening? Why are there so many cops here?”
“Someone in the group chat said Lillian stole something.”
“Lillian stealing? Give me a break!”
As the imposing police officers entered the classroom, even those students who had been blaming Lillian couldn’t help but feel a bit of sympathy for her now.
Hank stepped forward to handle the situation, but the lead officer raised a hand to stop him. He scanned the classroom, his eyes landing in the middle. “Who called the police?”
“I did.” Mindy stepped around Michelle and moved to the front,
Her eyes sparkled with the thrill of revenge as she pointed at Lillian. “Lillian stole my stuff, worth over 200 thousand dollars, and there’s clear evidence. Everyone here saw it, and she even admitted it.”
A wave of chatter broke out in the hallway. “Wow, it really was Lillian who stole things!”
The officer glanced at Mindy, then turned to Lillian: Following procedure, he asked, “What’s your name?”
“Lillian,” Lillian replied.
The officer frowned. The name didn’t match the face. He turned away and asked, “Who is Sierra Terrell?”
“Sierra? What’s she got to do with this?”
“Why is he asking about Sierra instead of arresting Lillian?”
Everyone turned to look at Sierra, who was also bewildered by being called out.
“That’s me.” Sierra stood up. “Is there something you need? I’ve had nothing to do with this from the beginning.” Her gaze darted around, unsure if she was confused or guilty.
The officer said, “We received a report accusing you of stealing and framing someone. The evidence is strong, so we need you to come with us.”
This was an unexpected twist, and everyone was shocked.
“Sierra? Isn’t it Lillian?”
“What just happened? How did it end up with Sierra?”
“What does framing someone even mean? How can the evidence be so strong?”
Not only were the students completely lost, but Michelle and Hank were confused as well.
Seeing the two officers advance toward her, Sierra quickly stepped back, pointing at Lillian. “No, Lillian’s the one who stole
should be arresting!” something. You must have it wrong. She’s the one you
