Rose
The crowd went wild and everyone cheered for Alpha kanen due to the speech he made. But that wasn’t the case, Things just got worse. This wasn’t the response I was expecting I was avoiding something like this. I was trying to avoid the war from going on but instead, I made things worse for myself. Not only me, We’ll all be in danger if we go along with this war, I had to do everything to stop this. But was it already too late? Whatever the Alpha decides then it remains permanent. The people had already made their decision because the Alpha made his decision, So right now it was impossible to speak out of turns. But the thing is there was something I had to do to make things normal. So everyone would be safe, I’m the Luna of this pack so I should also have a say in this. I took a deep breath and exhaled before I dared to speak.
“Listen, everyone,” I said as everyone went quiet, They all stared at me with a confused look on their faces. My heart began to beat so fast as I looked at Alpha kanen who was staring at me. I slowly bowed to me and everyone gasped.
“With all due respect Alpha, I know what I’m about to say would shock everyone but I’m trying to also reason with each and every one of you,” I said.
My hands were already shaking and my heart was beating so fast. To be honest, I was a little bit scared. What if things don’t go well as planned, How would I measure up to it? I kept calm again Before I spoke.
“I’m not in favor of what Alpha Kanen said. This war shouldn’t proceed” I said as everyone gasped.
I can’t believe I finally said it, Now it’s for me to hear their response, I hope they will side with me. Suddenly, Alpha kanen spoke in an aggressive
tone.
“And what do you mean by that? How dare you defy the Alpha’s orders. You should know the consequences for betraying me,” He said furiously.
I slowly stared at him, He looked so pissed and disappointed at me. I knew he was really angry at me but to the extent of beefing me in front of everyone shows how angry he really was. I wouldn’t blame him for acting this way towards me, I understand. But now was not the time to feel sad or worried, This is war! And it’s an opportunity to make everything right. I looked at him with a cold glare.
“I wasn’t defying your orders Alpha, I was only trying to make things right here. If we go to war then there’s a high possibility that few of us wouldn’t come back alive. Instead of going through such a phase, All we need to do is to make peace with them. And besides, if you see things, Both the Elfina’s pack and the Blood Moon pack are to blame for this. I understand that the Elfina’s pack murdered one of our own in turn we also murdered one of their own too. We took revenge on them and we got what we deserved, So what’s the point in going to war?” I explained.
Thinking what I said would make an impact on them, But rather things didn’t go as planned.
One of the generals walked up and spoke.
“With all due respect Luna Rose, I understand where you are coming from but we aren’t satisfied with how things are. And besides we didn’t declare the war, They were the ones who started this war and we have to end it,” He said as everyone agreed in unison.
“I believe they were the ones who murdered one of our own first and we did the same in turn. It should have ended there but that didn’t satisfy any of them. So we aren’t the ones who are at fault here,” Another one suggested.
“No… No. It’s not about who is at fault or anything. All I’m saying is that we should just make peace with them that’s all. We are only making trouble, People might die,” I said trying to confront them but none of my tactics were working for me.
“This isn’t the first time we are going for war Luna Rose so you don’t have to worry about any of the subjects,” One of them said.
“After all this war will prepare us for the upcoming war. So whatever happens today it’ll be like a training ground for us,” The other generations said.
I put my hands on my head As if my head was spinning. Everyone’s opinion was the same, No one tried to think about the consequences. The upcoming war is different from this war.
This war is based on our opinions and our feelings. I tried to tell them about it but no one wanted to hear me out, Still, I didn’t give up.
“Please… Think about what the consequences might be if we do this, If we go along with this war then everything would be shattered. We are only doing this because of our personal feelings and besides our problems with them were caused by our former rules, So it makes no difference if we try to vent out our anger after all these years,” I said but still no one listened.
“That is why we are known as the Blood Moon packs, Those Elfina’s pack don’t know who they are messing with, They’ll regret the day they messed with us,” One of the generals said.
My heart dropped, Things were falling apart and there was nothing I could do. Suddenly, Alpha kanen held me and dragged me out of the hall. I got confused as to where we were heading to. He took me to our chambers as we entered and he locked the door behind us.
He leaned me against a wall and used his hands to block me. He was so close to me that our lips almost touched.
Just then, He spoke.
