Chapter 154
Without hesitation, I picked up the first glass, the cool crystal smooth against my palm.
I raised it to my lips and tipped it back in one swift motion.
‘The burn was immediate, searing down my throat and pooling like fire in my stomach. I didn’t
flinch.
Alpha Caden’s eyes narrowed as I set the glass down with a decisive clink.
Impressive,” he said, though his tone betrayed a hint of irritation. “But there are plenty more.”
I met his gaze evenly, my expression unreadable. “Since Alpha insists,” I said, my voice dripping with a politeness so sharp it could cut, “why don’t we toast together?”
I picked up another glass and walked toward him, the room holding its breath in anticipation. His grin returned, smug and full of mockery.
“That’s the spirit,” he said, raising his glass. “If you can manage all of these, perhaps I’ll forgive your earlier impudence.”
I stepped closer, the tension between us crackling like a live wire.
“How generous of you,” I replied smoothly. “I should thank you for showing me such courtesy.”
And with that, I upended the glass–not into my mouth, but over his head.
The amber liquid cascaded over his meticulously styled hair, soaking into his tailored suit.
The room erupted into gasps and muffled laughter, the stunned silence broken by the sharp crack of the glass as I set it back down on the table.
Everyone had expected me to drink meekly, but to their surprise, I had the audacity to throw my drink directly on Alpha Caden’s head.
“Sophia, what are you doing? Linda shot to her feet, her eyes wide with shock and nervous energy.
Caden sat there, frozen for a moment, his once impeccable suit now stained and his carefully styled hair dripping with alcohol.
He was a mess–a rare sight for someone who thrived on intimidation and control.
Chapter 134
Are you crazy?” he barked, standing up and glaring at me, his face flushed with both embarrassment and fury.
I met his glare with cold determination. “I wouldn’t have done this if you hadn’t humiliated me first,”
I said, my voice steady.
“Any grievances you have can be directed at me. But if you ever try to mistreat someone on my side again. I promise you, you won’t get away with it.”
Caden’s lips twisted into a mocking smirk. “And how exactly are you going to stop me? Do you event realize where you are?”
As if on cue, his bodyguards moved in, their bulky forms closing the space around us.
My assistant, Zoe shook her head frantically, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “Miss Sophia, I’m fine,” she whispered, her voice trembling.
I could see her fear. She thought Caden’s power and influence were too great to challenge.
But I wasn’t afraid in the slightest.
I turned back to him, my voice cutting through the tense air like a blade.
Go ahead. Try moving against me, Alpha Caden. Let’s see if you can handle the consequences.”
For a second, his expression faltered. But then he threw his head back and laughed–a cold,
dismissive sound.
“You’re the Luna of the Iron Claw Pack,” he said mockingly. “Of course, I wouldn’t dare lay a hand on
you. But…”
His gaze shifted to Zoe, and my blood boiled at the way his eyes lingered on her.
“This assistant of yours is quite pretty. Send her to my pack for a night, and I’ll consider forgiving
you. How about that?”
Zoe’s gasp was barely audible over the pounding in my ears.
I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms, but I didn’t let him see my anger.
Instead, I pulled out my phone and hit the dial button.
Before the call could connect, one of the men at the table “accidentally” bumped into me, sending my phone flying.

I landed with a loud splash in the pot of soup at the center of the table.
The man put on a fake guilty expression.
“Oh no! Miss Sophia, I’m so sorry! It slipped! Don’t worry–I’ll buy you the latest model to make up
for it.”
Caden sneered, leaning back in his chair as if he’d won. Linda, seated nearby, had a glint of smug satisfaction in her eyes.
She knew I had powerful connections, but now, she thought, I was out of options.
Caden folded his arms and smirked. “It’s not that I’m not letting you leave,” he said slowly, as if savoring the moment.
“I’m just worried you’ll regret it later. Do you even realize who I’ve invited tonight? Sigma S is invited.”
I froze when I heard that familiar name.
Sigma S was the alias I used for my stock market investments. Many had requested to meet me in person, but I had never accepted anyone’s invitation.
Clearly, no one present had any idea about my true identity.
