Chapter 6
– Unwelcome Guest-
Soon the car arrived at the luxurious mansion, which was beaurified with expensive rare ornaments. Arya goped through the car window, in bewilderment, as she counted the expensive cars that were parked in the mansion.
Her eyes probed the amazing scenery of the three peach blossom trees standing pretty at three distinct angles.
“How rich are they? Are they so powerful?” Arya asked beneath her breath, her voice not so audible for Cassandra’s hearing.
Cassandra highlighted from the driver’s seat, and averted her steps to the car’s hack door, where Arya was seated, as she was still grasped by the magnificent environment, she pulled the car door open, and Arya hopped out, walking into the mansion with Cassandra leading the way.
The inside made Arya gasped in bewilderment. Everything was beautified In golden and white marble that looked like glass, on the walls, and the couches were white and gold. It was as if she had stepped Into heaven, while she was still on earth
Is this heaven on earth, Arya muttered, her voice a bit audible.
Cassandra turned her gaze to Arya, who was still engrossed by what she saw, as she heard Arya’s question, a beautiful smile marred Cassandra’s lips, as swiftly averted her gaze to the approaching sound.
“Good evening master, Cassandra greets bowing, her words getting Arya out of her reviver.

Arya narrowed her gaze from Cassandra to the stairs to find a man in a wheelchair, who was pushed by a young suit from behind.
*Finally you are home, my daughter, the man in the wheelchair said, as he gestured to the man behind high, to take him to the dinner table, where food had been served already in celebration of Arya’s return.
‘So she wasn’t lying after all, Arya mumbled in her head, as she followed suit like a lost sheep, her mind plugged as the old man addressed her as his daughter at first glance.
Different food, with assorted chickens, and meat. Cakes and pancakes served as dessert.
Nothing to compare to what Arya had prepared while still married to her ex–husband – Alberto.
“Feel at home, my dear, this is your home, and you are the rightful owner of it,
You may not know me but I am your father, Martin Dankworth, the founder of Dankworth’s Groups and Co, which soon you will take over sooner or later,” Mr. Martins, Arya’s father explained, picked up the napkin and spread it on his laps, in a majestic way.
Arya, still surprised at the whole drama unfolding before her, did not utter a word but only paid attention for furt explanations.
*Dad, what are you saying? How can she be the owner of your company? An imposter Dad? What happened to me?” Lila asked, a hint of anger evident in her voice, her gazes which were enough to burn anyone, rested on Arya who was sitting across her.
“Darling, what are you saying? Do not tell me you plan to make this imposter, who you are not even sure is your daughter yet, the owner of the company, over your legitimate daughter, Mrs. Grace, the wife of Martins spats out rudely, not minding the weight of her words on Arya, as she gestures towards her daughter Lilia, affectionately, who sheepishly smiles.
Arya did not mind the weight of her stepmother’s words at her. She understood that it was hard for anyone to accept someone into the family with open arms. Even if they did it would seem fishy to her.

Chapter 6
“Grace, 1 urge you to speak–and treat Arya, just like your daughter Lilla, Mr. Martins commands his wife in a domineering tone, stripped of kindness, as Mrs. Grace gives her husband a waily look, stomping her cutleries aggressively on her plate.
Arya is also my legitimate daughter, In case you have forgotten Mr. Martin said further.
“Never, she is not my daughter, her mother ran away with her, why bring her back into our peaceful lives?” Mrs. Grace asks, glancing at Arya, with the eyes of an angry bird, that could suck the life out of her.
“Dad, this is so unfair, why bring her back, when you are about to make me the CEO of your company? Do you hate me that much to make her my rival?” Lilia asked, with tears that welled up in her eyes, trying to get her father’s sympathy, who spared her no glance of concern.
*You never had any interest in the company all these years, why the sudden interest now? Do you feel a little intimated that your sister has returned?” Mr. Martins asked, cutting the pork meat on his plate with the cutlery in his hands and sticking a piece of it into his mouth, raising his head to get a better view of the angry Lilia, who was frozen like a rock at her father’s
utterances.
“She will never be my sister, not now, not ever,” Lilia spat our angrily, glaring at Arya.
Your choice sweetheart. If I were you I would try getting along to understand her and build a good bond rather than making matters out of nothing,” Mr. Martins replied calmly, signaling the maids to take the plates away, swiftly placing the cutleries by the side.
“The files Cassy,” Mr. Martins requested in a calm voice.
Cassandra placed a file each in front of Arya and Lilia, her step–sister.
“The files contain some information about the little down sales of the company stock prices. Anyone able to come up with an amazing project offer, that will blow the minds of the board members, will be appointed as the new CEO of Dankworth’s group. Fair and square!” Mr. Martins declared, in an affirmative fone, laced with seriousness, swiftly narrowing from Arya to Lilia.

Lilia stares at her Mom, with a worried look, while she bites her ap and narrows her gaze at Arya, who comfortably glances through the papers, with a calm face like it was nothing.
Lilia had no single idea about how companies are being run. All she cared about was money, parties, and luxurious living. Her father was right, she had no interest in running the company and all she wanted was power and authority. Now that Arya had shown up she saw her as an obstacle to achieving, and obtaining what she wanted the position of the CEO.
“Sir, there is a little problem, Cassandra said, halting in her words, as she did not want to disclose the problem in front of
further. everyone. Mr. Martins, understanding the situation, signaled her with his hands to say
“The owner of Art Lives gallery wants to rent the center the one at the heart of Mayville city for her art exhibition.” Cassandra replied as commanded, in a reporting voice.
“Who is this owner? Does she know that the center is not for rent. Mr. Martin asked, with a little frown etched on his. forehead.
Mrs. Jane Ramos, the famous art studio that sells original art of famous artists all over the world,” Cassandra replied curtly. “What? Jane Ramos, the wife of Alberto Ramos, Arya asked in bewilderment, as the name sank into her head. “Yes, my lady,” Cassandra replied, as Mrs. Grace gave her a staring glance as she addressed Arya as ‘my Lady! “Is there a problem child?” Mr. Martin asked calmly, with so much care in his voice, staring at Arya for a reply.
“No father,” Arya replied curtly, pounding how Jane had acquired an art studio in the space of six months.
A smile laced Mr. Martin’s lips as he heard his newfound daughter, Arya address him as ‘father

“Why is the center not for rent.” Arya asked, her voice filled with curiosity.
“For some special reasons, it is not for rent dear, hopefully, one day I might share that with you, certainly not today,” Mr. Martin replied, gesturing to the young man in a suit behind him to take him back to his room,
“I will take him to his room,” Mrs. Grace abruptly said, standing a from her seat, but was stopped before she could make at move by her husband’s words.
“No grace, I want to be alone tonight,” Mr. Martins requested, no minding if his words would hurt his wife.
“What if I become the CEO, Can I have the right to rent out the company?” Arya asked, her question halted her father immediately.
Mr. Martins turns to Arya, with warmth laced in his eyes, if you win, then you have all rights to do whatever you want with it and many more,” he replied, in a tone that shrugged Arya’s confidence to its peak.
Lilia’s covetousness was evident on her face, at her father’s reply to Arya, something he had never said to her.
“What if I promise to win, can you rent it out the center to Jane Ramos, “Arya asked abruptly, a flicker of desperation, hope lingering in her voice.
Mr. Martins gives Arya a long stare, he can not gather his thoughts around Arya’s need to rent out the center, which belonged to her mom, to whom she had no idea whom it belonged to.

“Yes sir,” Cassandra replied with a bow, as Mr. Martin raised his hand in appraisal. Cassandra straightens her stance, darting her eyes at Arya.
“My lady, lemme show you to your room, Cassandru said calmly, gesturing the way for Arya with her hands.
Mr. Martin’s words were all that lingered in Arya’s mind, building the urge to win the project and become the CEO, her revenge on Jane, and many others, who caused her pain and trampled on her in her lowest, She must have!
“Hey imposter,” A voice called out, Arya turned to find angry Lill approaching her in determined strides.
“You think you can win against me, never. You are nothing but an imposter looking for money and power to crawl out of her miserable life,” Lilia spat out, in an intimidating voice, her wordi halting Arya halfway on the stairs.
Lilia closed up the gap with Arya, with hands folded together, her striking angry gaze on Ayra.
But Arya was unraveled by it, she had seen a more dreadful gaze that sucked the life out of her back in the prison, than Lilia’s.
To Arya Lilia’s gaze was nothing to compare to those frightening blood–sucking gazes.
