Chapter 66
“Where have you been, Ibrahim,” Ralph asked worriedly as she looked at the king who was all smiles like he had just won the jackpot. He was unexpectedly happy and that got his queen wondering what he had done this time and who had pissed off. She sniffed him but there was no other scent on him other than hers, which got her even more curious. The king was never this happy regardless of what the time was and it was obvious that there was more to it than them having completed the mite bond.
o you don’t have to let “Around and about… anyway, I told Bashir that he will come to the palace guest rooms on his own, so you him know,” the king said before he kissed his queen on the forehead and went to interact with the other Lycans.
Ralph was left wondering what her husband had talked about with her best friend. Whatever it was she hoped that there was nothing she would have to deal with later on. Maybe she was overthinking this but then there was only so much they could stall this time. With her husband’s declaration, Ralphine knew that everything was about to get a little hot. She knew that Miroslav would eventually figure out what Bashir was doing in Amoria and she hoped for the sake of Bashir that he didn’t have anything evil to do with Ansonia.
“Congratulations on the mating!” Heion and Viktor said as they looked at their queen. They were proud of her, even though she felt like disappearing as she looked at them. There was just no way everyone knew that they had mandated it. Surely they didn’t know how intimate it had been, yeah? Or maybe they were just excited because the kingdora was complete? Ralph wasn’t surely sure and she could only hope that they didn’t horrify her with the possible reality of them hearing how she was being fucked by their brother.

That was something that Ralphine wasn’t sure she would recover from. Viktor and Heion were teases, but there was none worse than Kara the high guard wouldn’t let her have peace if they all knew how she had been folded and fucked that she almost forgot who she was. It would be scary to even think of that, so she didn’t say anything, but stared at the two as if to ask them if they knew all the details. It was daring of Ralph but then what else could I do but hope?
“Goddess, no. We didn’t know it like that,” Heion said, breaking the silence while Viktor looked like he was about to taunt the poor queen with whatever was in his mind.
“But we felt your happiness. Both of you, so it won’t be as awkward. Am I even making sense? Goddess I hope so,” Viktor said “before he realized he was probably having brain farts today. What the fuck was he even to say anyway?
“That is relaxing to some point,” Ralphine said before she added, “why thank you for the congratulations… it just happened.”
“Enough of that. Let’s get celebrating,” Kara suddenly said and Ralph looked at her as if she was expecting the woman to troll the hell out of her again. However, this time, she didn’t. If anything, she just hugged the queen and gave her congratulations, before she dragged Ralph to the party that had gotten so pretty at the moment. Their king was already having fun and when he saw the queen and their friends, Miro was elated to say the least. He was happy and Ralph loved that for him. Hell, everyone here was glad that the king was alright, because otherwise it would have been really awkward.
While everyone was celebrating, Bashir was considering his options. He knew he didn’t have many lying around but then surely there had to be a way out of this. He had worked so hard to earn the trust of the Lycan king and he couldn’t lose it. So defeatedly, he rushed to the showers, cleaned up, and made his way to where the festival was. It was a festival that broke his heart but that didn’t matter right now. He wanted to be happy for Ralphine but there was nothing that he could do.
“Congratulations your Highness,” Bashir said when he bumped into Ralph. He hadn’t been intending to but then again, fate was forcing things between them. He came here for the formality and to make sure that the Lycans knew that Bashir was unhappy with them.
The only thing that Bashir feared in Asmoria, other than Miroslav, was the Lycans. They were feral and would do whatever they wanted to if they knew that the alpha was against their chance at happiness. It wasn’t something that he could just come up with like that. He needed to be careful with everything he did from his words to his actions and to every little interaction because they were watching. And one wrong move from the alpha then he would be toast. It wasn’t new to the Lycans
anyway.
“Thank you. I’m glad it finally happened and now we focus on more important matters like the treaty with Mirza. I hope there are no problems with the treaty, alpha,” Ralph said he thought she could feel her voice stiffening. She knew this wasn’t

eve going to be the last time they interacted like this and she could only hope that for the sake of both factions, they would be alright. Bashir needed to understand the risks he was posing his people and Ralph was counting on the possible fear that came with the simple truth of the Asmoria kingdom being whole.
“Of course, it won’t. We keep our personal matters and business separate for a reason. Anyway, I was just passing by when I saw the celebration. I have to go get my things in the guest room. I guess it’s renovation is complete seeing as the king himself came to tell me about it,” Alpha Bashir said and Ralph sighed.
ph couldn’t
Now it made sense why Miro had come back to her excited like he had just won the lottery. Then again, Ralph blame the king for wanting to let everyone know that he had finally done what many had never counted on.
If these were better times, Ralph would have been happier at the congratulations but they weren’t. He still had questions about what he had done last night and why he had burn marks on the shirt he was wearing and even more, why Drescher was so adamant on making him the bad guy. It was crazy because Drescher himself wasn’t a good person and he wasn’t doing this to earn Ralphine’s trust and love again. Or maybe the beta was out of tricks and was contemptuous of what to do right?
“Well, have fun moving in. We will stay and enjoy the festival… or you can join us. Who knows we might be able to have more fun before we get to the boring side of the crown, right?” Ralph said and Bashir seemed to be considering his options. Maybe he was risking everything like this, but then Ralph had long made her choice.
“Alright then.. I can do that later, Your Highness,” Bashir said and Ralph smiled heartily at him, though they both knew it was just standard procedure. No one would ever know what was coming, but at least if the skies would turn gray perhaps just this time, they would set everything aside, and live their lives.
After all, there was no harm in having a little fun.
