“Do you still remember the script I gave you the other day?” Bet folded her arms and went into her usual business meeting

Irvin nodded.
His assistant, Luke Stiles, had passed him a script for a love story where both leads were secretly in love with one another.
The script wasn’t too bad actually, but it wasn’t as good as the scripts that Whitney wrote, because Whitney’s scripts were written with his image in mind.
Moreover, he had been confident back then of getting a good script from Whitney, so he told Luke, “What trash is this? I’m not going to act in a lousy production like this.”
“Are you asking me to take that role?” asked Irvin a little nervously. Even though he couldn’t get a script from Whitney, things weren’t too bad if he could still get the lead role in this other script.
“Well, the lead role has already been taken by lan Goldwell.”
lan Goldwell was a B–list actor, but he was working hard to get better roles. He was apparently from a rich family but had no airs about him at all. He had proved to be a very diligent young man and everyone in the industry liked him.
“Tan Goldwell Irvin frowned upon hearing this. Why was Betty still talking about this script if the lead role was already taken?
Betty realized that the usually quick–witted Irvin wasn’t getting the hint at all, so she went straight to the point, “The second, lead in this script is the antagonist:You can take that role.
It never crossed Irvin’s mind that he would end up taking the second lead of a small production,
Betty lost her patience when she saw how surprised Irvin looked. This is what the agency has decided to do after much discussion. This is the only way we can explain your erratic behavior recently. We can tell the public that you were trying to get into character for the role.”
Irvin finally realized that he really didn’t have a choice, so he pulled himself together and spoke in his humblest tone of voice, “Sure, I’ll take it. Don’t worry, Betty Ill do whatever the company wants me to do?
“Good. That’s all for now. Remember, don’t go out anymore.”
Betty walked to the door, then suddenly remembered something else and spun around to say very seriously to him, “Also, don’t log in to Twitter during this period of time and don’t read your feed either.”

But once Betty set foot outside the door, Irvin began thrashing everything he could get his hands on in the apartment.
Betty shook her head resignedly when she heard the noise coming from inside the apartment and slammed the door shut behind her.
Julius, do you really have nothing urgent in the office to attend to?” asked Whitney jokingly as she continued to walk next to Julius. She could see that he was leading her back to his room already.
He knew that she was asking him this question on purpose, so he stopped walking and raised an eyebrow at her.

The domineering aura he usually exuded disappeared as he smiled rather cheekily at her. “Why are you asking? You’d rather I leave?”
She felt a little shy, but kept a straight face and said, “You’re a very busy man, Mr. Latreille. I wouldn’t dare to do anything that might hold your work up.”
He didn’t say anything and just looked at her with the same expression on his face.
It was true that his work kept him very busy, just like how it was so true that he had slept alone all these years. Wait, how did his brain connect these two thoughts together?
Whitney felt a little embarrassed by the way he was just staring at her quietly.
He knew what she was thinking about, so he took a step closer to her as his smile grew wider. “Work is never as important as spending time with the beauty next to me. Don’t you think so, Beautiful?”
His voice sounded a little flirtatious as he continued, “I really don’t want my dearest Whitney to spend the night alone. Won’t you let me spend it with you?”
Julius‘ voice was low, slightly hoarse and so mesmerizing that Whitney’s hair stood on end as if a gust of wind suddenly blew past her ears.
His bright eyes stared at her eagerly, which made her suddenly feel really happy inside. She quietly replied, “I didn’t say no.”
Julius pursed his lips and tried his best to suppress the ecstatic feeling in his heart. He looked longingly at her and sad. That’s a yes, then! Let’s go back to my room now,”
Whitney stared at him blankly as number of R–rated scenes flashed through her mind and she stammered, “N–n–now? She blinked innocently and didn’t know what to do.
He started laughing and rapped her on the head gently as he said, “What were you thinking about?”
Her face instantly flushed crimson.
She realized that after she stopped rejecting Julius‘ advances, he smiled a lot more often than before.
“Alright, alright, I won’t tease you anymore. I was just afraid that you might be tired because we’ve been walking around for quite a while now,” said Julius as he continued leading her back towards his room.
Little did they know that Cynthia had been following them all this time and had seen, and overheard their entire conversation.

Whitney could sense that Julius seemed very eager for her to look at his room. But she didn’t ask him why and just nodded.
What she saw after they walked up the steps and opened the door really surprised her.
