He frowned and snapped impatiently. “What are you trying to get at?”
She looked at him emotionlessly and said in an equally unfeeling voice, “What am I trying to get at? Irvin Steed, do not think that I have no idea what you and Rainie Jackson are doing. I just can’t be bothered with the two of you. Without my scripts, do you think you could have become the popular celebrity you are today?”

In that instant, Irvin suddenly felt that this woman wasn’t the Whitney Zinke he knew. He stared at her in shock, as if he had gotten a terrible fright.

She walked towards him and he pulled her into his arms when he came close enough. “Whitney, you don’t have to get your hands dirty when it comes to things like these.”
Even though he did feel pretty gleeful inside when he saw how Whitney was teaching Irvin a lesson, this was not something that Whitney needed to do herself.
He didn’t want his precious wife to have blood on her hands and lidn’t think Irvin was worth her time either.
Also, he didn’t want her to do anything that would break the law that wouldn’t be worth it at all.
“What do you want to do to him?” Julius gently caressed her hair and looked like he would accede to any request she had.
“Let him go.” That was her intention in the first place. She had decided to let Irvin off for the time being because meeting Julius‘ parents was more important than teaching Irvin a lesson today.
Julius nodded and the bodyguards immediately surrounded Irvin and proceeded to drag him out.

Julius turned to Eugene and said, “Call everyone inside the house to come out now.”
The front yard of the house was soon filled with a large group of people.
“Since everyone is gathered here now, I would like to reiterate the rules of this house and I hope everyone can remember them well.
Julius scanned the crowd with his steely gaze, which made everyone exchange nervous glances. They had no idea what Julius wanted to say to them.
“Everyone is here to work and make ends meet. The salary heres triple the amount anybody else would offer you. But I do not pay you this much for you to make things difficult for my wife or for you to be nasty to her.”
Whitney looked at him in surprise. So, he knew about everything that happened earlier.
“Actually, the rules here can be both very simple and complex at the same time. There’s only one rule. Everything my wife says is the rules,” said Julius as he looked at the variety of expressions on the faces of the servants. “Any questions?”
“Of course, I’m sure there are some who aren’t happy with such an arrangement. If you Uncle Tom know. He will pay you a month’s salary and you can leave today”

Julius believed in employee rights, so he was open to letting the servants leave if they didn’t agree with his rules.
Everyone in the front yard looked at each other and nobody budged.

All the servants acknowledged the instructions given.
Julius then turned to look at Whitney and said, “Let’s go in.”
His voice was so much gentler compared to when he was addressing the servants.
“Okay.” Whitney couldn’t help but feel really touched by his actions. This man always made sure her wellbeing was his top priority.

After she stepped into the house, she felt something amiss, so she turned and noticed the servant who had earlier passed nasty remarks, standing behind her.
“Wait.” Whitney turned to stare straight at that servant.
“What’s wrong?” asked Julius.
“You. Come over here.” Whitney continued staring at the servant
“Me?” The servant looked like she didn’t expect Whitney to make life difficult for her in front of so many people.
“Uncle Tom, settle her severance pay and let her go,” said Whitney to Tom.
“Why are you doing this? I didn’t do anything wrong, protested the servant indignantly in a rude tone of voice.
“No reason in particular. I just don’t like you,” replied Whitney before turning to Julius. “Can’t I do that?”
“Of course, you can. Uncle Tom, settle her pay and get her to pack her things and leave as soon as possible.” He was fine with letting Whitney do whatever she liked.
Whitney then turned to walk into the house, ignoring the vicious look from the servant she just dismissed.
She was no saint. She just wanted to take good care of the people important to her and keep ill–intentioned people away from them.
She believed that as long as one didn’t give another person a chance to commit any evil deeds, it wouldn’t happen.
