Chapter 91

Jennifer quickly returned with the computer.

Easton handed her the USB drive. She plugged it into the computer to open the file. They all watched together.

Inside the kitchen, Natalie was busy with her work. She was cooking oatmeal, and once it seemed ready, she knelt down to take a packet of powder from the cabinet and sprinkled it into the oatmeal.

The next video showed Natalie serving the oatmeal to Charlotte

Wendy was startled. The video was taken with a phone and wasn’t very clear, but it did show that Natalie put something into the oatmeal.

Charlotte was Easton’s bottom line. Although she was cold toward him because of William, Easton still respected her as his mother.

Jennifer dared to present the evidence just because she knew this.

A hint of sly satisfaction appeared in Jennifer’s eyes as Easton’s expression grew darker. Easton didn’t see it, but Wendy did.

Once again, Jennifer framed Natalie.

That gleeful look in Jennifer’s eyes made Wendy want to slap her.

She planned to slap Jennifer several times as hard as she could when that day finally came.

“Hmph! Natalie is genuinely malicious. Easton, you have to divorce her. As the divorce papers are already signed, I’ll make sure Natalie goes to the courthouse tomorrow to get the divorce finalized,” said Wendy.

Wendy slammed her hand on the table in anger, insisting that Natalie must divorce this jerk. It was no wonder Easton would believe the evidence provided by Jennifer.

Jennifer, skilled with computers, could have used a fake video.

Jennifer spoke with a sarcastic tone, “Easton, I didn’t know Natalie could be so vicious. Your mom was kind to her, even forced me away to bring her into the family. She said I couldn’t marry you. As an adopted daughter, I can’t change my birth status.”

“I had no choice but to leave the country, but Natalie just doesn’t appreciate what she has. She got you so easily, while I couldn’t have you no matter how hard I tried. It makes me feel really bad, but even so, I hope you do well.”

“Easton, you’ve seen it yourself. Natalie usually doesn’t say much, but you all have watched everything she has done.” ‘Oh! How could I have such a cruel daughter like Natalie?‘ Nick thought and couldn’t help but feel sad.

Jennifer remained silent. Natalie never really held any place in Easton’s heart anyway.

Now with the evidence out, Natalie was truly ruined.

“Easton, don’t be too angry. It’s my fault for not teaching her well, which led to her doing such things. Maybe you two should go ahead and get divorced tomorrow. You mentioned that Jennifer had already called Natalie about this,” said Wendy.

“Earlier, she was naive and wouldn’t agree to separate though you gave her numerous divorce papers. By now, she should have realized it. No matter how nice she is to you, she won’t get any response,” continued Wendy.

“It is clear by a glance whether you love her or not. Jennifer doesn’t need to do anything, and you treat her like gru kept hidden away,” continued Wendy.

This suggested he secretly kept a mistress.

Wendy continued, “Natalie works so hard, yet you see her as a free housekeeper, Jennifer deeps until the wakes up neurally, does whatever she wants, and is outstanding in studies, music, and art. She receives pocket money from you every southe living a life of pure happiness.”

“What is Natalie to you? She gets up at six to make oatmeal and are for your mom. As you don’t like people who you things, she tidies up them herself, puts much thought in choosing gifts for your events, and waits up late till you come home,” continued Wendy,

“She even prepares healthy snacks for you late at night. She is still just an unpaid maid and uses her own money to buy your food though she works so hard,” continued Wendy,

Plus, she has always been in the wrong and has been accused of setting Jennifer up. Why would you want a woman like that? It’s better to end it sooner,” continued Wendy.

Wendy thought, ‘You two should just stay and lock together. Stop ruining my daughter’s life:

After listening to what Wendy said, Jennifer felt that she gained all of Easton’s love by doing nothing despite all the hard work Natalie had done.

In contrast, she felt like nothing more than a pretty but useless decoration.

Deep inside, Jennifer was truly shocked, realizing she had hardly done anything for Easton.

With every word Wendy spoke, Easton’s expression slowly cracked.

Wendy said a lot, but her point was simple. She wanted him to divorce Natalie.

He slowly stood up and looked at the Simpson family. “I’ve fulfilled my duty to Jennifer and won’t marry her. As for my marriage with Natalie, if anyone tries to interfere, they shouldn’t expect me to be nice.”

Jennifer was taken aback and finally said after a long pause, “Easton, are you going back on your word?”

Easton raised an eyebrow and said with no emotion in his sharp gaze, “Jennifer, I didn’t break my promise. You were the one who left first. Natalie was forced by your father to marry me.”

“You could have refused to marry her.” Jennifer interrupted him, tearfully looking at Easton.

Nick didn’t look pleased. He also knew why Easton had married Natalie back then.

Even if Jennifer had stayed, she couldn’t have married Easton.

Vernon only accepted Natalie as family, which was the condition he gave Easton control of the company.

Now Easton held the reins of the Garcia Group and had enough power to stand up to his grandfather.

If he wanted to divorce and marry Jennifer, it was solely up to him.

But something felt off to him.

Easton was acting strangely. Even after hearing about Natalie framing his mother, he remained unusually calm. Nick just couldn’t figure him out.

She stood up angrily, tears streaming down as she stormed upstairs.

Wendy pretended to be worried. “Jennifer, don’t be too sad. Easton is deeply devoted to you and won’t marry anyone else.”

Jennifer ignored her and quickly went upstairs.

Easton stared intently at Wendy and thought, ‘Her words tonight are really odd‘

He didn’t say anything and just left the Garcia residence.

A table full of carefully prepared dishes remained untouched.

Nick furrowed his brows and said while looking at the thoughtful Wendy, “Honey, don’t be upset. Calm down. Easton will come around. Aren’t you hungry? Have something to eat.”

Wendy looked at him and said, “Go upstairs and comfort Jennifer.”

Nick pressed his lips together for he wasn’t good at comforting others.

But seeing Wendy’s stern gaze, he reluctantly stood up and went upstairs to check on his daughter.

Wendy picked up a lobster, cracked it open, and began eating. This meal wasn’t intended for Nick and his daughter; she had prepared it for herself.

She indulged in the meal and then found an excuse to head to the office.

Before leaving, she glanced upstairs with a mysterious smile on her lips.

Natalie and her friends didn’t go back last night; they stayed in a five–star hotel on the Grandise. She set an alarm to remind herself to go back and get divorced from Easton.
