“Security! Get over here now!”
“Pull this person away!”
Before Daisy could speak, my assistant had already called out to the security not far away.
Calvin had been standing at a distance the entire time, as if Daisy’s words were his own.
To my surprise, the moment Daisy turned around, two security guards came over and dragged her away before she could take a step.
“What are you doing! Arrest her!”
“She’s causing a scene here! What will happen when the board arrives?”
Seeing this, Calvin quickly walked over and pointed at the guards, telling them to let go.
“Let her go! Do you want to lose your job?”
“Miss Wright! Good morning, please head to the meeting room to rest!”
Calvin’s scolding voice was drowned out by the company manager’s voice from behind.
Calvin stood frozen in place as he watched his superior greet me with utmost respect and shake my hand.
Daisy, who had been shouting just moments ago, also stopped struggling in surprise.
“You… You’re a board member?”
Hearing this, I smiled lightly at Calvin and replied in a calm tone.
“Yeah, is that a problem?”
With that, I turned to the company manager.
“No need to rest, gather the management team. Let’s start the meeting now.”

As Calvin walked toward the meeting room, all eyes turned to him.
Now, everyone at the company knew that Calvin had offended a newly public board member just for a woman like Daisy.
The manager was still speaking, but Calvin couldn’t help sending me a message.
“Bianca, how are you a board member of the company?”
why didn’t you tell me you were a rich kid before?”
“It’s fine, I’m not mad. This is actually great. We won’t have any pressure if we’re together
in the future.”
“I was just angry when I bought the bag earlier. We didn’t break up, so we’re still together,
right?”
Calvin kept messaging, and I couldn’t help but laugh at how ridiculous he sounded.
Having an ex like him was almost like a criminal record for me.
“Alright, enough of the nonsense, let’s go over the promotion and optimization list.”
The moment I spoke, everyone in the room gasped in surprise.
They didn’t expect me to be so direct.
“Don’t worry, I won’t treat you unfairly.”
Seeing my reply, Calvin visibly relaxed, his shoulders straightening as if the weight had
lifted.
But just as he was about to feel better, the manager started reading the list.
“Calvin, optimization…”
When Calvin heard his name, he stood there, smiling awkwardly, then froze mid–step.
He stared at me in disbelief and then awkwardly smiled at the manager.

“Calvin, calm down. This is a decision made by the company as a whole.”
