At the Halston Hotel, Olivia, as one of the important actresses, sat in the same private room as Amelia and the others.
From the moment they took their seats, Christian’s gaze repeatedly flickered toward Olivia, subtle yet unmistakable.
Noticing Christian’s glances, Willow asked curiously, “Olivia, do you know Mr. Christian?”
Without even lifting her eyelids, Olivia replied flatly, “No.”
Her decisive denial made Christian’s expression darken slightly.
Excusing herself to the restroom, Olivia later collided directly with Christian on her way back. She acted as though she hadn’t even seen him and moved to walk away.
However, Christian stepped in front of her. “Livi, are you still mad at me? Back then, my family was in trouble, and I had to go back to deal with it…”
Arms crossed, Olivia leaned back slightly, her tone icy. “So your way of dealing with it was to leave without a word and then turn around and get involved with Amelia?”
Christian frowned slightly. “We were so young back then, just fifteen or sixteen. I was sent to the countryside to recover due to my health. I never expected to meet you there…”
As he looked at Olivia now, Christian couldn’t help but recall the first time they met. Her stunning, delicate face had left such a powerful impression on him that he believed he had fallen for this beautiful and innocent girl in an instant.
“Stop!” Olivia interrupted impatiently, a trace of irritation flashing across her face. “Christian, you’re now Amelia’s suitor. There’s no need for this elaborate explanation here.”
Christian’s brows furrowed deeper. “Do you have to be so sarcastic when talking to me?”
Olivia almost laughed aloud. “You said it yourself, we were kids back then. It was nothing more than a fleeting acquaintance. So can you kindly step aside now?”
Years ago, while Olivia lived in the countryside, Christian had been staying nearby to recover from his illness.
Their families lived close to each other, and since the Foster and Carter families were acquainted, Christian frequently visited Olivia’s home. It almost felt like a childhood friendship blossoming.
But before long, Christian left without saying a word.
When Olivia eventually returned to the Carter family, she discovered that the same Christian, who had professed undying devotion to her in the countryside, had gotten engaged to Amelia shortly after returning to the Foster family.
How utterly disgusting.
“Livi…” Christian hadn’t expected Olivia standing before him to be so different from the harmless, gentle girl he remembered.

Just as Christian was about to speak again, a tall figure appeared behind them.

“Mr. Christian, what are you doing here?” Vance asked with a smile as he approached.
With unhurried steps, he subtly positioned himself between Christian and Olivia.
Christian froze for a moment upon seeing Vance, quickly masking his expression.
“Mr. Vance,” he said, regaining his composure. “Today is the wrap party for Mr. Jos‘ production. I came to congratulate Amelia.”
Vance smiled faintly. “What a coincidence. I’m attending as well. Shall we head over together?”
Without waiting for a response, Vance casually pulled Christian along.
Before leaving, Vance winked playfully at Olivia.
Olivia blinked. Did my cover just get blown?
Vance returned to the private room with Christian and Olivia.
As the owner of Zenith Entertainment, Vance’s presence immediately commanded attention.
“Mr. Vance, you’re here too?” Willow and the others stood up at once, their faces plastered with flattering smiles.
Vance, now devoid of his usual carefree demeanor, exuded the refined poise of a distinguished gentleman as he took his seat at the table.
