Boone walked toward her, tugging along a massive wolfhound. Samantha, looking flustered, rushed to block him.
“Boone, let’s not go over there,” she pleaded anxiously. “Sloane will be scared. What if she accidentally falls into the pool again? She can’t swim!”
Hearing this, Boone grew even more excited. “Even if she falls in, it’s just a few mouthfuls of water. It’s not like she’ll die,” he said with a laugh.
As he spoke, he actually let go of the leash.
The huge wolfhound lunged straight at Sloane, and right behind her was the swimming pool. Everything was exactly like it had been five years ago.
Seeing the wolfhound charge, Sloane moved swiftly, her body tilting aside like a flash of light. At the same time, a glint of silver flickered at her fingertips.
The wolfhound missed its target and landed heavily, then spun around and bared its fangs, launching another attack. Sloane seized her chance. The moment the wolfhound leapt into the air, she caught its neck mid–pounce and slammed it viciously against the edge of the pool.
The wolfhound let out a piercing howl of pain and snapped its jaws at her.
With a sharp glint, the silver needle in Sloane’s hand flashed. She struck ruthlessly, plunging the needle deep into the wolfhound’s eye and into its skull.
Blood sprayed out instantly, splattering some onto Sloane’s face.
The wolfhound’s agonized howls sent chills down the spines of the nearby servants, who broke out in goosebumps.
After defeating the wolfhound, Sloane slowly turned around.
Her gaze, cold as ice, locked onto Boone.
The blood–drenched scene made Boone’s legs go weak. He turned to flee, but Sloane, like a phantom, was on him in a flash. She grabbed his arm, using his own momentum to hurl him hard toward the swimming pool.
With a loud splash, Boone crashed into the water.
Flailing in the water, he barely managed to lift his head, only for Sloane to pick up the bamboo pole she had prepared and, without hesitation, thrust him back underwater.
“Help! Help!” Boone screamed in terror, thrashing wildly, coughing, and choking on mouthfuls of water.
He had specifically ordered the pool to be filled to the brim just to prank Sloane. Now, he was paying for it,
Nearby, Samantha watched the scene unfold, her face going pale with fear.
She shrieked for help, “Someone come! Help! Save him!”
Seeing Sloane with her back turned, her eyes rolled quickly, and she screamed, “Sloane, don’t be like this! Boone might die!”
Then she threw herself at Sloane.
But Sloane moved like she had eyes in the back of her head. With just a slight twist, she easily sidestepped.
As Samantha tried to halt herself, Sloane kicked sharply at the back of toppled toward the swimming pool.

She landed squarely on the just–surfacing Boone, and the two of them sank under together again.
“Help! Glug… Samantha shrieked, clutching at Boone’s neck, climbing onto him in panic.
Pitifully, just as Boone had managed to breathe, he was dragged down again, swallowing another mouthful of pool water.

When she saw the two struggling figures in the pool and Sloane holding a bamboo pole, she screamed, “Sloane! What are you doing?!”
Seven or eight servants immediately dove into the pool to rescue them.
Sloane felt it was about time. She casually tossed the bamboo pole aside.
Before long, the two were dragged out of the water.
Boone was as pale as a sheet, gasping for breath, his whole body battered and soaked.
Samantha was not much better. Her hair hung in wet tangles, her body was shivering violently, and her eyes were filled with
terror and shock.
Helen threw herself at them, heart aching, checking first Boone, then Samantha, her mouth cursing nonstop. “You vicious little wretch! You want them dead, don’t you?!”
Sloane watched all of it coldly, her voice detached. “It’s just a few mouthfuls of water. No one’s going to die.”
