Theodore deliberately instructed his team to ease their watch over Jaziel and Nolan.
It wasn’t because he had let his guard down–on the contrary, he wanted to lure them into action so he could anticipate their moves and be fully prepared.
His men carried out the order promptly.
At the same time, Theodore intentionally informed Charlotte’s parents of Jaziel and Nolan’s plans to come to New Orleans.
“What? After everything they did to Charlotte, they still want to attend the wedding?”
Charlotte’s mother was furious upon hearing the news.
In the past, she had nothing but praise for Jaziel and Nolan. She had even considered them as potential sons–in–law.
But they had crossed the line by putting Charlotte’s life at risk!
Charlotte must have been heartbroken when Sophie hurt her.
Even worse, her childhood companions the two who had always stood by her side–chose to support another woman, showing her nothing but coldness.
Even if their intentions were to force Charlotte to confront her feelings and choose between them, Charlotte’s mother could never forgive such a reckless and cruel method.
Now, she felt only gratitude for arranging such a good marriage for Charlotte. Compared to Jaziel and Nolan, Theodore was leagues ahead.

As one of the most influential families in New Orleans, the Murphys, now allied with the Washingtons through marriage, commanded immense respect.
Other families eager to curry favor with the Murphys quickly distanced themselves from Jaziel and Nolan.
Charlotte’s parents even instructed the villa’s security to bar the two from entering.
When Jaziel and Nolan arrived in New Orleans, they were met with the cold indifference of the city’s elite.
They couldn’t get through to Charlotte’s phone; even when they tried using new numbers, they were blocked immediately.
Desperate, Jaziel managed to obtain Charlotte’s mother’s number from Grace.
Both men tried to reach out, each calling one parent in hopes of explaining their past
actions.
“Hello, this is Jaziel. I want to…“–apologize to you and Charlotte.
Before Jaziel could finish, the call was cut off.
Nolan faced the same fate. Every number they tried met the same response: an abrupt
hang–up.
With no other options, they went to the Murphy family villa, hoping for a chance to see
Charlotte.
They waited outside the estate for nearly an entire day, but Charlotte never appeared.
As evening fell, a sleek black Rolls–Royce slowly approached the gate.
Through the side window, Jaziel caught a glimpse of Charlotte.
Nolan quickly maneuvered their car into position, drifting to block the Rolls–Royce’s path.
“Charlotte, please come out. We need to talk,” Jaziel said, stepping out and knocking on the window of the Rolls–Royce.

Inside, Charlotte’s brows instinctively furrowed at the sight of the two people she least
wanted to 800.
She turned to Theodore, feeling a bit worried that he might be upset. In a reassuring gesture, she reached over and held his hand.
Theodore’s lips curled into a smile as he returned her grip, his voice soft.
“Shall we get out?”
He opened his door and, in full view of Jaziel and Nolan, stepped out and carried Charlotte out of the car in his arms.
As her feet touched the ground, Charlotte’s cheeks were faintly flushed.
