Once she was done, Jessica turned to Charles, who was still lounging on the sofa. She bowed slightly, her tone respectful. “Dr. Kessler, thank you so much for taking care of Luna.”
Without waiting for a response, she turned and hurried out of the room.
Charles leaned back on the sofa, a smirk playing on his lips. “Your assistant is much more polite than you,”
Luna didn’t argue; she nodded in agreement. “Of course.”
I’m too hot-headed for all that social nicety stuff,’ she thought. “That’s why I rely on Jessica to handle it’
Otherwise, with her temperament, she’d mess up a lot of business deals,
Luna looked at Charles again and said directly, “I want to be discharged. Handle the discharge papers for me.”
She needed to join a film crew in a few days, with lots of things requiring her attention. Lying in the hospital wasn’t an option.
