Isabella was slightly surprised. She didn’t expect Samuel to send a young girl, but recalling her impressive skills earlier, a smile spread across Isabella’s face.
Isabella extended her hand with a gentle laugh. “Hello, I’m Isabella.”
At that moment, Megan came to her senses and immediately had someone clean up the broken lampshade on the floor.
Megan looked at Isabella with concern. “You’re not hurt, are you, Mrs. Howerton? She gave Isabella a thorough once–over, worried that she might have gotten injured.

Isabella glanced at her poetry book, her eyes softening slightly, as she stood and turned towards the bookshelf. With a light laugh, she said, “I have more here. Do you want to read?”
Rachel nodded quickly and jogged over to Isabella, her excitement evident. She held the book like it was a priceless treasure.
Isabella was surprised. She didn’t expect Rachel to be into poetry collections. It was rare to see young girls interested in these things nowadays.
