Chapter 5
“Ahhh
Emily’s eyes gleamed with a mischievous glint as she kicked the urn over with a deliberately loud scream.
With a loud crash, the urn flew through the air, landed with a thud, and shattered into pieces,
The grayish–white ashes scattered across the floor.
She hopped up like a startled rabbit, diving into John’s arms, her chest heaving as if she was geminely terrified.
ah, are you targeting me because I exposed your act to scam John out of money? Are you trying to use this dead person’s estes to scare me?
“Johnny, I’m so scared!”
John patted Emily’s back soothingly, then pointed angrily at me.
“Bringing such a cursed thing here to scare Emily, how could you be so malicious!“
“Get rid of this thing right now?”
He then gave the ashes a hard kick, scattering them further.
Emily seized the opportunity to stomp on the ashes with a triumphant smirk.
Seeing the ashes scattered everywhere made my temples throb with fury!
He called these ashes “cursed“!
He called his own mother’s ashes “cursed“!
Oh, god, he still thinks those are my mother’s ashes!
He just let Emily smash and stomp on “my mother’s” urn!
I was trembling with rage. I raised my hand and slapped John hard across the face.
“You’re the one who’s cursed!”
“John, you ungrateful son, you filthy creature driven by lust, you’re the one who should leave
“Take your mistress and get out! Don’t dirty my place!”
John was stunned by the slap, his face a picture of disbelief, not expecting me to actually hit him.
Emily jumped in to defend John.
“Sarah, what are you doing!”
“The one who’s not loved is the mistress! How dare you insult me like that!”
“Who are you to kick John out? This is John’s house; if anyone should leave, it’s you!”
I was infuriated to the point of laughter. John was so obsessed with his pride that he used my house to show off with his mistress.
“John, you say this is your house?”
John’s face turned dark with rage as he spat, “Of course it is! With your mother dead, I’m your only family. Naturally, the house is mine!”
Even though I was already used to his shamelessness, his words still sickened me.
No wonder he refused to give me the money for the rescue–he was waiting for my mother to die so he could claim the house, leaving me with no legal.
heir!
Chapter 5
I felt deeply pitiful for my mother–in–law.
Her life was lost because of her own son’s dirty schemes!
My voice was hollow with sorrow, “John, who told you that the dead person is my mother?”
He exploded with anger, pointing at me and threatening, “You vile woman, if it’s not your mother, then whose could it be?”
“How can you have such a wicked heart, cursing my mother after everything she did for you? You’re so evil!”
“You’re not fit to be part of the Miller family! I’m divorcing you!”
“I’m going to tell my mother you’re such a cruel person!”
pulled out his phone, dialing my mother–in–law’s number repeatedly.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t get through anymore.
Growing frantic, he pointed at me, “Where’s my mother? Why can’t I reach her? What have you done to her?”
I pointed at the scattered ashes.
“Your mother is right under your precious Emily’s feet.”
