Chapter 2
Actually, the reason I met Robert was thanks to Lucas.
Back in college, they were both in medical school and shared the same dorm room.
One day, when I visited Lucas, I happened to meet Robert.
Robert claimed it was love at first sight and pursued me passionately.
At that time. I agreed to his confession without hesitation, confidently beheving that I was the only one he loved.
I what I didn’t know was that deep down there was a first love he couldn’t have.
He never told anyone about her.
It was only when his first love left for Australia that he chose me.
After we got married, we were relatively happy.
When did things start to change?
It seemed to be in the third year of our marriage, the same year Robert’s first love, Molly, returned from Australia after her husband passed away.
From that point on, Robert’s attitude towards me grew colder and colder.
One day, I happened to see a chat on Robert’s phone.
I didn’t want to confront him directly, so I casually asked, “Who are you chatting with?”
“No one.” Robert quickly put away his phone, replying impatiently,
The next moment, his phone chimed with a notification.
He eagerly picked up his phone, and the impatience on his face vanished instantly.
Smiling, he typed away while saying to me, “There’s something urgent at the hospital. I need to go.”
With that, he grabbed his coat from the hanger and rushed out without looking back
That evening, I saw a post on Instagram
The caption read: “Thanks to Dr. Wright for picking me up from the airport. I wonder if someone will be jealous?”
Molly even posted a photo of her and Robert together.
I thoughtfully liked the post and left a comment below.
“Wishing you both happiness.”
That night, Robert stormed home, furious.
“Georgia Lewis, what’s wrong with you? Why are you commenting nonsense under Molly’s post?”
I looked at him, seething with anger, and found it utterly ridiculous.
“Robert, the urgent matter at the hospital was picking up Molly from the airport?”
Robert’s expression stiffened, and he turned away uncomfortably. “Molly just got back, and I’m her only acquaintance here. Don’t jump to
conclusions.”
Then, as if he realized something, his face darkened, and he grabbed my wrist tightly. “Do you know how guilty Molly felt because of your comment? Apologize to her, and we’ll move past this.”

Butchered by Love
Chapter 2
Robert’s grip was strong, and it hurt.
“Are you crazy?” I raised my voice, looking at him in disbelief as I endured the pain. “Why should I apologize to Molly?”
He seemed to snap out of it, hesitating for a few seconds before finally letting go of my wrist.
He didn’t say anything further, just scoffed coldly and left the room.
I looked down at my wrist, which had already started to swell and turn red from where he had grabbed me.
Since Molly returned, our arguments over her have only intensified.
