At the banquet two days later,
Alexander arrived at his grandfather’s birthday celebration with a stunning woman

The young man perked up with interest. “You’re talking about Alexander? That’s
hilarious. Who does he remind you of?“]

He shot me a warning glance.
“Whatever it is, we can discuss it in private. Don’t cause a scene here.“]
He clearly still saw me as beneath him, someone he was embarrassed to

with Alexander? There are dozens of heiresses waiting in line for him.” [
