Jane’s face was marred with anger, with anxiety evident in her demeanor, as she abruptly tapped on the screen of her iPhone 14 Pro Max aggressively, dialing Alberto’s number, whom she didn’t seem to connect with over the phone.
The service provider conveyed that the number she was trying to reach was unavailable at the moment.
“Did that moron block me or what?” She yelled, still tapping on the screen, with the thought that it could be a service glitch, hoping that the call would connect, and talk Alberto over the sudden incident that disrupted her wedding to him.
“Damn it!” She threw the phone at the wall, watching it smash into pieces, its shackles abruptly falling in different directions of her office.
“You are mine!” She yelled at the top of her voice, frustration evident in her voice.
“You are mine, Albert, mine alone!” She squealed, abruptly standing up from her seat, and pushing down everything on her table, the glass template laced on her table, bearing her name, Jane Swan fell to the floor, breaking into tiny pieces.
Jane averted her step, to the nearest side table In her office, picked up the glass that was filled with wine, gulping it down her throat, Making a swoosh sound afterward, as she aggressively threw the wine glass at the wall with bloodshot eyes, angrily.
“That evil witch!” She squealed amidst gritted teeth.

“It’s all her fault, that evil witch got to me, she did this,”
“To get back to me?” Jane spat out, as she let out a faint evil laughter.
“Arya!!” She shouted, abruptly pushing down the glass of wine, along with the coffee machine mixer on the side table to the floor.
“I’m so coming for you, bitch!” She spat fiercely, like an angry lion, her gaze fixed in the daze, biting her lips.

“How long have you been standing there?” Jane asked in a husky voice, staring at the figure with a stunned face, trying to fathom when she had knocked and walked into her office without her realizing it.
“Not Quite long,” Mia replied calmly.
“But I didn’t hear or see anything, ma’am,” Mia blurted curtly, with her hands waving in her hair, to affirm her claim.
Jane gave Mia a scrutinizing look, laced with suspicion, before she averted her gaze back to the seat, walking towards it.
“Get out!” Jane declared in an unfeeling voice, as she pulled back the seat to lace on it, lighting up a cigarette, as she abruptly turned her gaze towards the door, to find Mia standing like a lost fellow.
“Didn’t you hear me?” Jane questioned angrily, Mia stood picking her nails furiously, with her lips shaking a bit.
“I said get out!” Jane roared angrily, rising from the seat, with her hands placed on the table for support, staring at Mia angrily, her patience growing tiny.
“I’m sorry ma’am, but I can not leave,” Mia said, with tears flowing down her cheeks gently. Jane’s facial expression darted

Mia stumbled on her knees to the floor, with her hands clasped together before Jane, now the tears flowing profusely like a tap that had just been unlockeil, “I need your help, ma’am!” Was the only word that Mia could utter.
“What sort of nonsense is this?” Jane asked, angrily, with her hans folded around her, as she stared at Mia with an unwavering, emotionless face.
“Ma’am, my mother is dying?”
“I need your help, I don’t want to lose my Mom,” Mia cried out amidst her profound tears.
“What is this all about? What help are you insulating here?” Jane asked, with her wary eyes darting into a concerned look.
“My mom needs urgent medical attention, please help me ma’am,” Mia blurted, still on her knees, with her crimson red. “Damn it!” Jane exclaimed in frustration, hitting her fisted hand on the table, as Mia’s heart jumped in fear, abruptly halting in her words.
“Will you just get straight to the point, you dummy! I haven’t got time all day to listen to your gibberish, and slow talks,” Jane blurted angrily.
Mia twisted her hands in fear, attempting to summon the courage to continue, as she thought of the words to use so as not to Infuriate Jane with anger.
“My mom is sick, and needs urgent surgery, I need money to save her, please help me ma’am, I don’t want my mother to die,” Mia pleaded, her words grew faint, as the tears she held back to talk found their way down her cheeks.
“Then go to work!” Jane spat out, as Mia’s heart felt a pang of pain from her words, swiftly raising her gaze to meet Jane’s emotionless eyes.
Mia moved a bit forward on her knees, “Please ma’am don’t do this to me,” Mia cried her heart out, hoping that Jane’s heart would melt, dart a pity look on her, and offer the help she sought.
Mia wasn’t going to give up, her last stop was her boss’s office – Jane. She knew well that Jane was capable of helping her, she didn’t mind kneeing till tomorrow, rubbing her clothes against the floor, or even walking on her knees a long distance if asked to, just to get her help.
