That day, I went all out–did my makeup, threw on a black mini dress I hadn’t worn in forever.[]
My barely showing bump was hidden under the loose fabric. Nobody could tell I was pregnant.[]
In the hotel ballroom, I was sitting at this fancy round table, feeling kinda dizzy from all the rich food.[]
Then Piper’s boss–this tall, gorgeous guy in a designer suit–walked straight over to me.
Piper immediately stood up. “Oh, hi Mr. Sterling.”
This Sterling dude smoothly took Raven’s seat and turned to me:[]
“I’m Caleb Sterling. Been watching you all night. Mind if I get to know you better?“[]

Right then, Caleb’s assistant walked over with these fancy gift bags for me and Raven.
I opened mine–beautiful box with a solid 100–gram gold bar.[]

“Little welcome gift,” Caleb said in this smooth voice. “Hope you don’t mind.”
“Mind? Are you kidding?” I immediately closed the box and stood up. “Mr. Sterling, you’re way too generous. Definitely hit me up for more of these events.“[]

Me and Piper followed him out of the hotel’s fancy lobby.

“What’s going on with you two?“[]
Blake was the same height as Caleb, just as good looking.[]
But standing there in his delivery uniform next to Caleb in his custom suit, he looked kinda pathetic.[]

I coughed and avoided eye contact.[]
Just as I was about to explain, an arm slid around my waist and pulled me closer.
It was Caleb.]
My back tensed up as I heard Caleb chuckle softly.[]
“Blake Hartwell, you know this lovely lady?“[]
Now I was the one shocked.[]

Blake didn’t say anything, just stared at Caleb with those clear eyes.[]
In the weird tension, some theories started forming in my head based on all the sketchy shit that’d been happening.[]

Then he walked around us and headed into the hotel with his delivery bag.
I moved closer to Caleb. “Let’s go, Mr. Sterling.”
Caleb smirked and opened the car door like a gentleman.[]
Before getting in, I caught a glimpse of the license plate.
