William slapped him hard. “Ungrateful wretch! Victoria carries your child! Would you watch our lineage die?”
Alexander licked blood from his lip, laughing bitterly. “What’s Sinclair’s end to me? Where was our honor when you exiled Mom?”
His gaze shifted to Victoria’s stomach. “Besides… who knows which man’s bastard this loose woman carries?”

“Alexander!” She marched toward him. “How dare you? This child is yours! I’ll show you the recordings if you doubt me!”
