The moment the man‘ voice came through, I held back my tears and spoke firmly: “I agree, but my condition is this–our child must be your heir.”
The man agreed without hesitation.
As the call ended, Benjamin approached again, pulling me into his embrace and coaxing, “Rachel is such a good girl, no crying, no fussing. That’s my sweet Rachel.”
I was cradled in his arms, but my face remained utterly expressionless.
True, I would be obedient–so obedient that I’d vanish from his life entirely, remarrying the elite socialite heir to end his bloodline!
The next morning, Benjamin got up early. He took my hand and said gently. “Rachel, we’re going for your prenatal checkup today. You’ve lost weight carrying this baby.”
In the past, such words from Benjamin would have filled me with joy.
Now, they only filled me with disgust.
I let him lead me to the car. As the window rolled down, Kim’s saccharine voice chirped, “Benjamin, why did you take so long?”
She then deliberately turned to me. “Sis, I’m not feeling well either. Do you mind if I go to the hospital with you two.”
My icy gaze flicked to Benjamin.
He leaned in and whispered to me, “Let her come, hmm? Don’t be upset. I’ll make it up to you later, sweetheart.”

In that instant, their scheme crystallized.
Today was about showing Kim my unborn child in advance.
I let out a bitter laugh, “Not at all.”

Benjamin exhaled in relief, settling me into the back seat and fastening my seatbelt with exaggerated care. Kim, meanwhile, sprawled boldly in the passenger seat, shooting me a triumphant glance before coquettishly batting her lashes at Benjamin.
I remained silent throughout the hospital visit, even as the examination began.
The doctor glided the device over my belly and asked routine question: “How many pregnancies?”
I lowered my eyes, pressing my lips together, “This is the tenth.”
The doctor offered no rea

But whispers erupted among the pregnant women waiting outside the
room:
“That man and the other woman look like the real couple–he hasn’t stopped staring at her. The pregnant one’s probably the mistress.”
“Ten kids! She’s likely popping them out for different sugar daddies. Shameless slut.”
Benjamin merely frowned slightly, silent.
Kim smirked at me before eagerly peering at the baby‘ image on the
screen.
Her eyes lit up as she hurried to ask, “Well, Doctor? Boy or girl?”
This hospital was invested in by the the Mitchell family.
Chapter 2
Benjamin could obtain any information effortlessly.

Soon, he and Kim followed the doctor into a private room, leaving me alone outside. When they emerged, Kim glared at me with sour disgust.
Benjamin took my hand apologetically.
His voice softened. “Rachel, I’m sorry. The fetus is deformed. We need to terminate.”
The doctor chimed in, “Yes, a deformed child would only suffer…”
My scornful gaze swept over the trio.
Benjamin seemed to forget: I was once a medical student too.
It was that one–night love with him that derailed my studies with an unplanned pregnancy.
The baby is perfectly healthy, yet Benjamin wants me to abort her, simply because she’s a girl who doesn’t suit Kim’s preferences!
I stared at Benjamin and blurted out, “What if I say no?”
Benjamin’s expression darkened, and his voice turned colder. “Rachel, don’t be unreasonable.”
I had no desire to argue further and turned to leave, only to be grabbed by Kim, who’d chased after me. With feigned anxiety, she said:
“Rachel, are you upset because I came with you? I’m sorry, I apologize…”
Kim’s nails dug viciously into my flesh. I winced in pain and tried to
shake her off.
“Let go!”

At that moment, Kim suddenly stumbled backward, crashing onto the
floor.

Simultaneously, she clutched me tightly and shoved me down the stairs. My body tumbled down the stairs several times.
Benjamin’s pupils constricted as he sprinted toward us.
But the name he shouted wasn’t mine.
“Kim!”
Benjamin helped Kim up, his face frantic. “Where are you hurt?
Let me see!”
Kim wiped her tears, sobbing pitifully:
“My ankle’s twisted… it hurts so much…”
Benjamin’s eyes reddened with distress. He scooped Kim into his arms and was already heading toward the emergency room.
