Chapter 131
“No!” she cried, her voice rising in pitch. “I didn’t do that! It’s a mistake! You can’t arrest me for something I didn’t do!”
Her voice was raw, pleading, but the officer remained unyielding.
“We have CCTV footage that shows you tampering with the set equipment and setting a spark in the middle of the showroom,” he replied.
“With all the clothing and jewelry stored there, a small spark could have set off a massive blaze.
Fortunately, it was discovered by our inspectors before things got out of hand.”
Linda’s face twisted in denial.
“It wasn’t like that!” She turned to me, her expression wild. “Tell them! Tell them I wouldn’t do something like this!”
I merely raised an eyebrow, meeting her gaze with cold detachment.
knew all too well what had happened.
In my past life, Linda had been consumed with jealousy when she didn’t get the role of the film that is previously known fashion queen’s lead.
So, she had resorted to setting a fire, slipping away unnoticed while chaos erupted.
But this time, things had turned out differently.
After suspecting her intentions, I had quietly suggested that the director have the fire facilities inspected, just in case.
When Linda sneaked into the showroom to set her little fire, she’d encountered the inspectors doing their rounds.
Trapped and unable to flee immediately, she had to wait until they left before making her move.
But by then, the flames were already spreading, and she got caught in the thick of it.
Her plan backfired In every possible way.
Chapter 131
Now, it was clear that karma had found its way back to her, as she finally faced the consequences of her actions.
Linda struggled as the officers led her away, her protests echoing down the hall.
Her voice faded, leaving a cold silence behind, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of closure.
In this life, she’d been stopped before anyone could get hurt.
The aftermath of the fire was relatively minor, thanks to the timely intervention of the inspectors.
The damage was minimal, and a week later, we were back on set, ready to continue filming.
Despite the delay, everyone’s spirits were high.
There was a sense of resilience among the crew, and the rest of the production went by smoothly.
We wrapped up ahead of schedule, much to everyone’s delight.
At the end of filming, the young director and producer hugged me tightly, their excitement contagious.
“We’re witnessing the birth of a superstar!” the director exclaimed, grinning ear to ear. “This film is going to be huge. Just wait!”
I couldn’t help but smile. Their enthusiasm film was
was infectious, and I felt a surge of pride. The sent off for editing, and I was left with a mix of anticipation and relief. Soon after, it was time for the new school term to begin.
I arrived at the University of British Columbia, my heart pounding with excitement. The campus was beautiful, filled with towering buildings and green lawns that stretched as far as the eye could
see.
I took a deep breath, taking in the fresh air and the energy of a new beginning. Just as I was taking it all in, I spotted a familiar figure waiting for me.
Zane, the academic genius, waved at me from across the courtyard.
His tall frame and easygoing smile stood out among the bustling crowd of students, and as he approached, I noticed the approving glances he received from passersby.
Some students whispered to each other, casting curious glances my way.
Wow, is that Zane? He never comes out to greet anyone,” one girl whispered, glancing at me in

surprise. Another added, “Who is she? She must be someone special if Zane’s here to meet her.”
couldn’t help but chuckle as I walked over to him. “Fancy seeing you here, Zane. I didn’t know I’d get such a VIP welcome,” I teased, nudging his arm.
He grinned, shaking his head. “You’re impossible, you know that? But seriously,” his tone shifted slightly, “I still can’t believe you didn’t choose Biology. Finance? Really?” He looked at me as if I’d lost my mind.
I knew everyone around me would be surprised to know my choice of field and I had thought about it a lot when I was applying for the course but eventually gave up the dance major and chose finance, but that didn’t mean I was giving up on dancing, I was still studying and competing with my
old teachers..
I laughed, shrugging. “I figured studying finance would be more useful in the long run, especially if I want to help my brother with his pack.” I paused, meeting his gaze earnestly.
“It’s about more than just what I like, Zane. I want to be able to make a difference. I want to explore
more”
He studied me for a moment, then sighed, shaking his head with a smile.
“Fine, fine. Just don’t come crying to me when you’re buried in numbers and spreadsheets.” He
uffled my hair affectionately. “But you know, if you ever need help, you can come to me. I’m just a
text away.”
Later that afternoon, I moved into my dormitory.
The room was cozy, with warm lighting and a big window overlooking the campus.
As I unpacked, I overheard two of my roommates chatting from the common area.
One of them whispered excitedly, “Did you hear? The future Alpha of Ironclaw’s girlfriend is at our
school!”
The other gasped, her voice filled with awe.
“You mean Lirian? That super handsome Alpha? He’s the only son of Iron Claw’s Alpha, right? And I heard he just led his pack to victory against the rogues a few days ago“..
“That’s him! He’s so awesome, I wonder what kind of person his future Luna is.”
