Chapter 21
Chapter 21
Lucia’s POV
The truck pars beneath me, headlights slicing through the dense fog of the remote road. The GPS on my phone chirps again, recalibrating as Rowan’s coordinates finally lock in. My heart pounds, keeping pace with the ham of the engine. She’s alive. Olivia, the woman who left without a word months ago, the love of my life is alive.
Rowan’s voice on the phone was cryptic bot urgent. “I found her, Escian. Bat you’re not going to like what you see
My grip tightens on the wheel. As Alpha of the Crimss Valley Pack, I’ve faced enemies and challenges that would break most wolves. Bot nothing has Busted me more than her disappearance. She was lurer so I thought and when the vanished, she took a part of me with her.
Rowan tells me she’s not only alive hot living in a secret city that took him weeks to track. A city of wolves I didn’t even know existed.
The road ends abruptly at a pair of tall, unusarked gates guarded by two men whorork of wulf. They watch me approach with sharp, wary eyes, their
postures tense,
“Tm here to see Olivia,” I say, my voice firm, my Aplus authority bleeding through.
The guards exchange a book but step aside, opening the gates without a word.
Rowan’s Jeep is parked inside, his figure leaning casually against it. As 1 step out of my truck, the scents of wolf and secrecy hit me hard. The air here thick with power, the band that makes my wolf restless,
“Tinally,” Rowan says, pushing off the Jeep. His expression is grim, his usual cocky demeanor nowhere to be seen
“Where is she?” I demand, cutting straight to the point.
He gestures toward the towering buildings that stretch into the misty skyline. “Inside the city. But Lucian, listen to me–she’s not the same person you know. And this place.” He hesitates, his eyes scanning the surroundings. “It’s not like any pack territory you’ve been to. Stay sharp.”
I don’t bother responding. My wolf is already on edge, and nothing Rowan says will stop me.
We step through an archway into the city. It’s not what I expect. The streets are clean, lined with modern glass–fronted buildings and bustling with activly Wolves move through the city in human form, but their energy hums with power. Some glance my way, their gazes curious, others outright

This place is real,” I mutter under my breath.
“Yeah,” Rowan repbes grimly. “Hidden from the outside world for decades. It’s run by a pack that doesn’t want to be found. Took me weeks to trace her here. I found them in time because they were attacked recently. I was almost killed just for getting too close to the borders. Luckily, Ele- Olivia recognised me and brought me in. She filled me in on all the details since she left.”
The seem hits me before I see her. Vanilla and wildflowers, faint hut unmistakable. My wolf surges forward, recognizing its mate instantly.
“Where is she?” I growl
Rowan nods toward a tall, sleek building at the end of the st
street. “Penthouse level. But Lucian, you need to know–she didn’t leave you because she
wanted to.”
“What are you talking about?”
“You’ll see,” Rowan says, stepping aside.
I don’t wait. My instincts take over as I make my way to the building. The elevator ride to the penthouse feels like an eternity, my wolf pacing inside Megager to see her.
When the doors slide open, I step into a luxurious apartment that overlooks the city. She’s there, standing by the window, her back to me. Her red hair rocades over her shoulders, glowing in the dim light of the room.
“Olias,” I say, her name rolling off my tongue.
She frapzes, and for a moment, the world feels suspended. Then she turns, and I’m hit with a wave of emotions I can’t begin to process

Her voire comes out in a strangled whisper. “I see him. I see you.”
“What do you see?” I ask, my heart pounding.

Her glowing eyes snap back to mine, filled with terror. “Lyanna. She’s coming for you, Lucian.”
