“What’s wrong with Isabel’s outfit? She’s wearing a sweater and high–waisted pants–perfectly fine. Now, look at yourself. Do you really have the nerve to criticize her? Clenching her jaw, Yvette took Isabel’s hand. “Isabel, let’s go. Being stuck with these people as classmates must be the unluckiest thing to ever happen to us!”

Isabel let out a sarcastic laugh, matching Yvette’s tone. “You’re right. This is nothing like the friendly class reunion I imagined. Instead of celebrating Logan’s promotion, it feels more like a personal roast session for me. If I’d known it would turn out like this, I wouldn’t have come at all.”

Her words, along with Yvette’s, left the other classmates looking visibly uncomfortable.

At that moment, Logan stood up, his gaze shifting toward Sofia and her group, his expression anything but friendly.

“Isabel is our high school classmate and also… an important friend to me. The things you’ve said are just rumors. In this world, seeing is believing, but hearing is often deceiving, not everything you hear is the truth. And besides, we were in the same class with Isabel for three years. Sofia, sitting across from them, couldn’t help but roll her eyes. She just couldn’t understand why someone as impressive as Logan would be interested in someone like Isabel.

At that moment, a female classmate sitting nearby caught sight of the watch on Sofia’s wrist, her eyes lighting up with envy.

“Sofia, is that watch from your boyfriend? Must be worth around 5,000 or 6,000, right?”

The girl’s comment instantly made Sofia the center of attention. She basked in the envious stares from everyone, a smug smile spreading across her face as she said, “Yep! My boyfriend has no sense when it comes to managing money. I’ve told him not to buy luxury items since I’m not really that interested, but he insisted. He just had to get it.”

As she spoke, Sofia deliberately glanced at Isabel, her eyes lingering on Isabel’s stunningly beautiful face. A cold sneer formed in her mind.

Yvette’s words instantly captured everyone’s attention.

“Pfft!” Sofia burst out laughing. ‘III admit, the CEO of Johnson Group is more handsome and wealthier than my boyfriend. But the real issue is, Kaleb and Isabel are no longer together. And as for him treating Isabel well? Tsk, tsk, everyone here knows about all the drama between Isabel and Kaleb. You’re just talking nonsense with your eyes wide open.”

Following Sofia’s lead, some people in the room sneered quietly, while others openly showed their mockery. The expressions varied, but all of them were filled with contempt and disdain for Isabel.
