Chapter 273
“Natalie, do you really have to talk in such a sarcastic way?” Easton felt the urge to strangle her. “I’ve told you I’ve always been good to Jennifer, but I never touched her.”
Natalie glanced at him. He was not only a jerk but also didn’t dare to admit to his actions.
She muttered, “Easton, you really let me down. You do things but don’t dare to own up to them.”
She was really pissed.
Easton pressed his lips together, thinking about those photos. Natalie couldn’t possibly believe him.
Natalie’s phone buzzed and she glanced down to see a message from Luna: [Natalie, the Spencer family is having a party tonight. Mr. Spencer sent us an invitation. He wants us to join them this evening.]
Natalie: [Sure. I’m free tonight.]
Easton saw her message She seemed to be pretty close with Murray.
Natalie looked at Xavier and said, “Xavier, pull over. I need to get out.”
Easton disagreed, “Come have lunch with me.”
Natalie shook her head. “I’ve already eaten; Maurice and I had lunch together.
“Also, Mr. Garcia, I waited for hours for you to have dinner with me before. I’ve waited enough, so I’m not willing to dine with you again.”
Easton pursed his lips and apologized softly, “Sorry, I mistreated you in the past.”
Natalie was taken aback that Easton would actually apologize.
She wondered if he was the same person she knew.
She pursed her lips, thinking that Easton had become strange.
Something was off. The Easton she remembered was always cold and expressionless, except for those two years.
She felt slightly regretted when she looked at Easton’s handsome face.
She was shocked. “Easton, it doesn’t seem like you when you apologize. Don’t apologize anymore. I’m not accepting apologies; my only wish now is to get divorced and get a group of handsome guys.”
Xavier asked curiously, “Ms. Shawn, what it does mean by getting a group of handsome guys?”
Natalie chuckled with a knowing look. “You don’t know? It means having attractive young men around.”
Xavier was taken aback, thinking, ‘You’re so bold to say that.’
Easton was so furious that he quickly tightened his grip on her neck.
Natalie was startled, her throat hurting. She cursed inwardly. ‘What the hell is wrong with this crazy man?”
Easton’s eyes were dark with a bloodthirsty look, “Natalie, are you really that desperate for a man?”
Tears streamed from Natalie’s eyes due to the pain. “Easton, let.. me go.”

Seeing the tears in her eyes, Easton suddenly let go of her.
“Kaff…kaff…” Natalie coughed a few times, gasping for fresh air.
She thought, ‘Damn! Easton actually laid hands on me. Now my heck hurts.
Seeing how uncomfortable she was, Easton got even angrier. “Natalie, no husband would like to hear what you just said:
Natalie instinctively looked at him. “Husband? That’s rich coming from you. You’ve never acknowledged it, so don’t disgust
me now.”
Easton’s deep voice carried a hint of a smile,
Natalie watched him cautiously.
Easton gave her a meaningful look. “So, if I admit I’m your husband, you’ll come back with me?”

“Keep dreaming, you crazy Mr. Insane. Go find your Mrs. Insane. I have to admit you and Jennifer are a perfect match, one crazy and the other insane.”
Easton was furious.
This woman always managed to make him furious whenever she spoke.
At that moment, Natalie’s phone rang. Seeing it was Jacob calling, she picked it up, “Hello?”
“Hey Natalie, my grandma’s alright now. Can I take you out for dinner tonight?” Jacob’s voice had a hint of caution.
Natalie replied, “Jacob, I don’t have time this evening. How about tomorrow night? I’m free then.”
“Great! Let’s dine together tomorrow. Natalie, what do you feel like eating?” His cautious voice turned excited.
Natalie thought for a moment before saying, “Let’s try some Shagrity specialties; there’s a place near the hospital. I’ll come find you.”
Jacob was thrilled, his voice cheerful and pleasant. “Alright, Natalie, I’ll send you the address tomorrow.”
Natalie replied, “Okay.”
After hanging up, she sensed the ominous vibe from the man next to her. Easton’s cold, deep voice echoed in her ears, “That’s the guy from the hospital.”
Natalie nodded. “Yes, Mr. Garcia. After leaving you, I realized the world is full of good–looking men.”
Since he liked to get upset, she fanned the flames.
Sure enough, Easton’s face turned even darker.
Natalie laughed silently.
Feeling a bit timid, she only dared to laugh to herself.
But the next moment, she faced the consequences.
Easton turned to Xavier and shouted angrily, “Xavier, pull over and let her out.”
Xavier stopped the car and then realized they were on the freeway.
They were going to have a meeting in the west of the city next, so they took the bypass.

Chapter 273
Natalie looked around and saw they were on the freeway. Eastori was going to leave her behind.
Natalie let out a cold laugh, her voice dry, “Mr. Garcia, this is the second time you’ve ditched me on the freeway. Easton, I hate you. I never want to see you again in my lifetime?
Easton’s heart sank suddenly as he tried to say something, but Natalie had already opened the car door and got out, slamming it shut behind her.
He remembered that Jennifer had called him saying her stomach hurt the other day. Thus, he had left Natalie on the road without realizing where they were.
That night he didn’t go back, and he had no idea how she managed to get home.
Easton clenched his fists tightly. He was good to Jennifer because she had often helped him.
But in the end, it was all Jennifer’s lies. He should have treated Natalie better, but every time they met, they would part on bad terms.
Before Easton could say a word, Xavier drove away.
Easton yelled angrily, “Xavier, who told you to drive? Go get Natalie back.”
Xavier said, “Mr. Garcia, Ms. Shawn isn’t moving forward, she’s going backward. I think she spotted the exit behind us. She can probably catch a ride quickly from there.
“Last time, you left Ms. Simpson stranded on the highway. She had to walk home for two hours because her phone was left in the car while you rushed to the hospital with Ms. Simpson.”
Xavier teased, “But it turned out Ms. Simpson had some cramps. If you had been a bit later, she wouldn’t have needed to go to the hospital at all.”
Xavier couldn’t help but feel sorry for Natalie. It was really unlucky for her to encounter someone like Easton.
Easton’s expression was dark. “So, you didn’t remind me on purpose earlier and just parked the car?”
Xavier shook his head, saying, “Mr. Garcia, I wouldn’t dare. I was just following your instructions.”
Easton narrowed his cold eyes. “Drive.”
He glanced back at the highway; the traffic was heavy and there was no sign of Natalie anymore.
He cursed inwardly, “That woman always provoked me. She has it coming if something happens to her.’”
Easton was enraged and closed his eyes to try to control his anger.
After getting out of the car, Natalie saw an exit not too far away. She breathed a sigh of relief; this time she wouldn’t have to walk two hours. She could be off the highway in twenty minutes.
She walked with tears streaming down her cheeks. Her heart ached when she thought of the past.
As Natalie was about to walk under the bridge, she felt the car behind her accelerating. A flash of panic crossed her heart. She turned around sharply to look and saw a car rushing towards her.
